Miss Nebraska won for talent. Miss Nebraska proved to be a skillful piano player, for which she won the talent portion. Miss Oklahoma got kudos for Lifestyle and Fitness aka swimsuit. Miss Oklahoma has been impressive so far, capturing the Lifestyle and Fitness competition. Other top challengers for Miss America 2011 include Miss North Carolina, Miss Alabama and Miss Rhode Island. The "Talent" competition in each of the first three nights earlier this week resulted in a $2000 scholarship prize for each winner, while the "Lifestyle and Fitness" contest gave each winner $1000.
The judge miss america 2011 competition are Tony Dolovani of Dancing with the Stars, actress Marilu Henner, Taryn Rose a shoe designer and orthopedic surgeon, country singer Mark Wills, Joy Beyhar of TV's The View, Debbye Turner Bell, who is Miss America 1990 and now a veterinary doctor, and Marc Cherry the creator of Desperate Housewives. The overall winner will have to impress judges in the interview room and on-stage during the competitions. Only one will get to perform a year of service with the title Miss America 2011.
This is the 90th year of the Miss America competition.
